Last Days in Europe

Well, I’ve done a pretty poor job of keeping this updated but I guess that’s a good thing; just means we had a lot of fun. We’re sitting in the lobby of our hotel outside Venice at the moment. Yep, we’re back in Venice ish.

The last two days were spent on the western coast of Italy where we enjoyed the gorgeous Cinque Terre to it’s fullest. By the ‘fullest’, I mean we spent a good 2+ hours walking from town to town along the cliffsides, as the turquoise water below splashed against the carved rock far below us. We met a stray cat along the way, left a lock somewhere along Via Dell’amore and even got to dip our feet in the (freezing) water. (Claudia says that’s a lie, but to me it was ice cold on first step).

Today we took a couple trains from La Spezia to Mestre and I gotta say, first class makes all the difference in the world! Tomorrow we’re heading out to Verona because Claudia really wants to check out Juliette’s tomb (I didn’t know it was a true story either…).

Anyhow, time to go!

Btw, king sized beds ftw! My long legs finally have a home.
