Problem solved! My faith in humanity was restored when the gentleman who was intending to sit beside me on our flight to Italy agreed to switch seats with Claudia, thereby allowing us to freely use each other’s shoulders for makeshift pillows. Needless to say, we were happy about that and he later enjoyed a cold, frothy one on us. I felt a little guilty about our 5 year anniversary, never-been-out-of-the-country tall tale… ma non fa niente!
But, here we are, three meals later and a couple family get togethers later (Claudia’s second and third cousins are really nice, especially Leo; he’s the cutest little boy ever.), not to mention her in our awesome room. I wish I could post the video of its sleek, Venetian interior for you, but my iPhone won’t pick up on the Wi-Fi here and as much as I love Telus, I’m not paying $75 so you can see our pretty Murano glass chandellier hanging over our bed or our classy Grand Canal view… Hope you understand!
Anyhow, it has been a long ish day for us and we’re about to call it a night. Just so you know, my tastebuds have had their memories restored with my first re-tasting of genuine, Italian good stuff.
…uno… due… tre… quattro… cinque… sei… sette… otto… nove… dieci!
Buona notte!
